After qualifying as an architectural technician back in 1982, I gained a HBTEC in Building Construction before completing an Architecture degree at the University of Manchester. From there, I became an ARB registered architect and after moving through the rankings at GWK, a nationally-renowned architectural practice, I was made an Equity Partner at the company’s Newcastle upon Tyne office for almost 15 years. Throughout this time, I managed a team of enthusiastic architects and technical staff while working to implement the practice’s business strategy and manage finances. I became an accredited RIBA Conservation Architect in 2011 to formalise my extensive conservation experience and worked as Project Director before later launching W Kish Architects.

Throughout my career I’ve worked across all industries, to design, manage, problem-solve and ensure a stunning end-result time and time again. Over the last few years, W Kish Architects has specialised in residential, industrial and education sectors offering high quality, affordable design services.

One particular passion of mine is in creating sustainable, environmentally-friendly developments that are future-proofed for the years to come.
